 Based on mentoring and participation in the Shared Virtual Artistic Residency offered by Bienal Black Brazil, I created this audiovisual work. I started to listen and voice the thoughts that speak to me, based on the woman/body/nature/feeling relationship. The voice overlaid in layers, from the sound to the phrase "I need to breathe" - spoken in Portuguese, my native language, which are reconstructed on the same words, bringing the sense of everyday repetition, of this mother's body and the need to reframe the moments . The phrase alludes to this political moment in Brazil, in which Covid circulates in the air and our forests are on fire.
